The 2021 World Happiness Report ranks the Czech Republic as the 18th happiest country in the world, one place higher than in 2020. The country’s position in the ranking has been steadily improving since 2016, when it was ranked at 27th.

The European Union has presented a proposal for the much-debated COVID-19 Digital Green Certificates, which would include a QR code with the vaccine/test/recovery information of each person. The sacrificial altar at Brno’s Petrov Cathedral was dismantled and will be dedicated to the Chapel of St. John of Nepomuk in Rome.
